Less resistance with the BERG Airflow jumping mat
Great trampoline jumping starts with a good jumping mat and flexible springs. To make the jumping experience even better, we have developed a jumping mat with the AirFlow technique. This is 50% more permeable to air compared to a standard jumping mat. This ensures less (air) resistance on the jump mat when jumping, which ensures that you jump higher.
The AirFlow jumping mat is exclusively available on the BERG Elite and BERG Champion trampolines (this also includes the BERG Grand Champion and the BERG Ultim Champion).

What is The Difference Between BERG In Ground & Flatground Trampolines?

IN GROUND TRAMPOLINES - sit on the ground, at ground level, and there will be a small four to six inch step up onto the trampoline. It will be required to dig a hole beneath the jump mat to allow mat clearance. The trampoline is NOT actually sunk into the ground.

See installation instructions here.

FLATGROUND TRAMPOLINES - are countersunk into the ground so that the surface of the trampoline is flush with the ground, so there is no step up onto the trampoline. Instead they are on the same level.

Different Trampoline Types

Many people think that every trampoline is typically similar or the same. They may look very similar, but trampolines actually come in different sizes and shapes, and they are built for specific purposes or reasons.

When you compare backyard trampolines to the trampolines at a trampoline club you will notice significant differences in both the quality and style.

Yet, the essential purpose is similar and this includes providing a surface to jump on.

Certain trampolines are specifically designed for fun, recreation, stress relief, or fitness, while other types of trampolines are dedicated to professional sporting.

New uses for trampolines continue to be invented, while current uses also continue evolving to match up to ever-changing needs. A trampolinist should consider their intentional purposes before investing in a trampoline.

Here is a list of the different trampoline options:

#1 The Rebounder

These are small trampolines also known as mini-trampolines. These compact and small trampolines are made for indoor use for a single person.

These trampolines are used for exercise to raise the heart-rate using vigorous movements.

They are compact enough to pack away under a bed or in a close, which makes them a good choice for individuals that live in an apartment or small home.

#2 Professional Or Olympic Trampolines

The professional or Olympic trampolines are not comparable to the other types of trampoline models.

These are large trampolines that are designed specifically to provide an athlete with performance with the use of significant amounts of propulsion and power.

Most of the professional trampolines can be found in gymnastics clubs and are also used for the Olympic Games.

They are also expensive, with most costing a few thousand.

The increased performance and power associated with these trampolines means they are usually only suited to trained individuals.

#3 Recreational Outdoor Trampolines

Recreational trampolines have been in use for many years, but the latest technological advancements now mean they are more enjoyable, safer, and also more available than they were before.

These are also affordable and more space-efficient, which makes them the ideal recreational tool for family use.

Today there are many recreational trampolines to choose from. The quality of these trampolines varies greatly from one manufacturer to the next.

For this reason, it is important to find out about the general materials and designs that each brand and product use.

Trampolines are regarded as an investment that should last for many years, so it becomes important to choose carefully to avoid disappointment.

#4 Rectangular Trampolines

These trampolines are mainly used by expert trampolinists and trained gymnasts. The older types of backyard trampolines only used to come in rectangular shapes.

This shape is regarded as very powerful since the springs all act in one direction at the same time.

This gives the user increased height and more rebound.

The rectangular trampolines are also made from thick steel designed to withstand the impact caused by rebounds.

The steel may create a solid and sturdy structure but it also makes these trampolines heavier and more difficult to transport or move around.

These models are also more expensive and typically cost 50% more when compared to some of the well-known circular models.

#5 Circular Trampolines

The circular trampolines have increased immensely in popularity over the last decade.

In fact, circular trampolines have become the most popular shape on the market.

These trampolines are suitable for all ages along with being the safest models currently available.

The latest design improvements and innovative state-of-the-art safety accessories are constantly undergoing changes for round trampolines.

These models are also economical since they use less steel in the frames. This model also involves the whole frame absorbing impacts that apply to it every time a user jumps.

Very little weight is required to make these sturdy frames, which lowers the cost and results in safer devices for children and adults.

These lightweight circular-shaped trampolines also cost a lot less to ship when compared to the conventional and more traditional trampoline models.

These models are typically lightweight enough to transport and assemble by a single person.

They can also be moved around easily in your backyard, or when you need to disassemble the trampoline.

The circular trampolines are also great for evenly distributing impact caused by jumping.

The round shape of the trampoline causes all the springs to stretch evenly rather than a force distribution that is uneven which is a common occurrence with the rectangular trampolines.

These models are also effective when it comes to providing rebound responses. This type of trampoline also pushes the users towards the middle of the jump-mat when they start jumping near the edges.
